Cruise to Anacapa Island – A Marine Wildlife Adventure!

The Anacapa Shoreline Cruise is a perfect introduction to Channel Islands National Park, offering a scenic and educational experience without setting foot on the island.

As you travel across the Santa Barbara Channel, keep an eye out for local marine life such as  California Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and several dolphin species—including Common, Pacific White-sided, and Risso’s Dolphins. While not a designated whale-watching trip, sightings of Gray or Humpback Whales are possible during winter and spring.

Along Anacapa’s dramatic coastline, you’ll pass by the iconic Arch Rock—the park’s landmark—and see the historic lighthouse perched high on the cliffs. Below, seals and sea lions often rest on the rocky shore.

Anacapa is a haven for seabirds, home to one of the largest Brown Pelican breeding populations on the West Coast and the world’s largest colony of Western Gulls. Birds can be seen soaring overhead, nesting on cliffs, and diving into the sea.

This relaxing cruise through the Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary offers a chance to observe some of the richest marine life in the world—all without leaving the boat.

Note: The cruise may briefly stop at Anacapa Island to drop off passengers booked for a landing trip.
