Island Wildlife Cruises to view Dolphins, Seals, Whales and other Marine Mammals in the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel, Channel Island National Park and Channel Islands Marine National Sanctuary
Relaxing and educational, the Anacapa Shoreline Cruise is the perfect introduction to the Channel Islands National Park. Discover the marine environment and spend quality time with friends and family while enjoying a narrated tour of Anacapa Island from the boat!
Anacapa Shoreline Cruises are 3.5 hour trips that travel through the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel, Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and Channel Islands National Park. This area of the ocean is known to have more marine mammals in its waters than any other area on the planet. These are non-landing excursions.
Traveling from the mainland to Anacapa Island you may see Harbor Seals, California Sea Lions, Humpbacks, Gray, Blue or even Orca Whales. Common Dolphins, Pacific White-Sided & Risso’s Dolphins may also be sighted on these excursions. We never know what we are going to see, but these excursions are always an adventure.
We will also cruise the rugged shoreline of Anacapa Island and Sealion Rookery. Cruising alongside Anacapa Island there will be photo opportunities and viewing of the landmark of the National Park, Arch Rock. Visitors can also view the working lighthouse atop the island.

(Also known as the North Shore Wildlife Cruise.)
The perfect introduction to Channel Islands National Park!
This 3 ½ hour, non-landing trip is an excellent choice for a big day in a small package. Passengers on these excursions enjoy the beauty of the Park, the wildlife, and surrounding waters from the comfort of one of our vessels. Passengers traverse the Santa Barbara Channel, search for wildlife along the way and receive narration from a professional naturalist. There is never a guarantee of wildlife sightings, but your crew makes a concerted effort to find and visit with seals, sea lions, whales, and dolphins. Bird life on these trips is usually abundant.
This trip highlights the natural, human, and economic history of the islands and the waters surrounding them. Island habitation, from the Chumash who called the islands home for over 13,000 years, through decades of ranching era, oil development, wildlife, as well as commercial and sportfishing, are all topics your crew may discuss.
The Anacapa Shoreline Cruise is available year-round, typically operating 3-4 days a week in the summer and 1-3 times in the off-season. Most days these trips are offered both in the morning and early afternoon. Reservations can be made online or by calling our reservation team at (805) 642-1393.
