Two Trips in 2018 for Cueva Valdez on Santa Cruz Island

Saturday, July 28  &  Sunday, August 26, 2018

Cueva Valdez and Painted Cave

A rare opportunity to visit this beautiful cove on the west end of Santa Cruz Island. Enjoy a narrated cruise along the north shore of Santa Cruz Island to one of the world's largest sea caves, the Painted Cave. We will then continue on to Cueva Valdez on The Nature Conservancy property. The landing is by a small shore boat via a sea cave that opens to a nice sand beach.

An Island Packer naturalist will be available to provide the natural and human history of the area. You will have a couple of hours to just relax or picnic on the beach before your trip back across the channel.

The Santa Barbara Channel crossing back to Ventura will take us through some of the richest marine wildlife viewing areas.
